Minimum of ten years experience as a certified full-performance level Air Traffic Controller (ATCS) in an FAA environment.
Minimum ten years experience in an operational environment such as TRACON. |

Prior FAA Airspace and Procedure staff experience in a Regional/Headquarters or Large TRACON.
Terminal Radar Approach Control experience in Southern California TRACON is desired.
The Candidate must be flexible, highly self motivated and proactive team player; good written and oral communications skills; and proficient with MS Office Software. |

The candidate must support to the Western Service Center Operation Support Group by providing support to Western Service Area, ATS Headquarters, Regional Offices and various Air Traffic Control Towers, Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACONS) and Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). Provide expertise and support to the Operations Support Group will include but not limited to: Emerging Metropolitan Airspace redesign, Fuel Initiative and NEXGEN. Review requests for charting, new procedures, airspace development, new and revised procedures, special use airspace, document changes, and ensure timelines and handbook requirements are met. Additional the candidate must provide support and expertise using a variety of automation systems; perform National Air Space impact analysis, environmental studies, document change proposals, procedure development and revision, processing temporary flight restrictions. |

Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs. Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. Supports and participates in negotiations with customer. Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources. Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters. Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements. |
