ADS-B for SingaporeCOMSOFT has been selected to implement ADS-B ground equipment in Singapore

SINGAPORE, January 2009 The German ATM expert COMSOFT won a tender for the supply of two ADS-B sensors plus data processing launched by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). The system will be installed and taken into operational service in 2009.
At the beginning of December 2008 COMSOFT came out ahead of its competitors in the evaluation process of this prestigious project. The contract implies the provision and installation of two Quadrant ADS-B sensors plus a redundant data processing unit that fuses the surveillance data from different sites into a single, coherent air situation picture. While merging the data from the various ADS-B sources it also filters redundant information and eliminates signal noise before forwarding it to the connected ATM system.
The proposed system will have a prodigious range of close to 300 nautical miles and exceptionally small power consumption figures.
