COMSOFT joins IFAIMA

COMSOFT has become Corporate Member of the International Federation of Aeronautical Information Management Association (IFAIMA).

KARLSRUHE/GERMANY, LISBON/PORTUGAL, July 2009 COMSOFT has joined IFAIMA, a non-political federation of aeronautical information management (AIM) and aeronautical communication (AC) associations with the aim to promote safety, efficiency and regularity in international air navigation operations.

IFAIMAs attempt is to concentrate efforts of all nations regarding air navigation and to further increase the level and willingness for international cooperation. The collaborative approach towards collecting and distributing information as well as commonly studying new techniques and facilities will be beneficial for all parties involved.

While IFAIMA members basically consist of national AIM and AC associations, this young group is also empowered to invite suitable organizations and individuals to become corporate members in order to assist in technical matters.

IFAIMA welcomed COMSOFT as one of the early members from industry and is looking forward to start an effective cooperation between the two organizations. COMSOFT is proud to be in the position now to contribute to the aims of IFAIMA and to support the community with their expertise.

COMSOFT has been an ATC solution provider since 1989 and has a rich selection of AIM related products. The latest achievement was the implementation of the emerging AIXM 5 standard into the innovative database CADAS-AIMDB.
