The federal aviation administration (faa) currently has a hardware refresh project underway for all r2508 rehost facilities including the rehost systems used at the high desert tracon. The rehost system is an faa approved atc automation system used as an arts system at hdt to provide air traffic control services. This requirement is for 14 tech source raptor 2100 fps digital flat panel monitors. The monitors require a custom proprietary software driver unavailable through any other source..the requirement is being processed using limitation of sources to a single source as provided for under the faa acquisition management system (ams) sections 3.2.2.2 and 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the faas decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.
