Additional FREQUENTIS Voice Communication Systems for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Frequentis has received a contract from Haji Abdullah Alireza and Company Limited (GENTEC Division).
As part of the Communication Enhancement Program II project being supplied to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) by GENTEC, Frequentis will supply the Voice Communication Systems (VCS) for the Air Traffic Control approach control and tower at Dammam and the ATC tower at Al-Jouf in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Included in this contract is a separate backup VCS for the approach center at Dammam.
To meet the inherent high reliability requirement of an Air Traffic Control switching system, Frequentis will supply its VCS 3020X system. The VCS 3020X voice communication system employs state of the art technology for digital voice communications. It is based on a unique, highly modular, distributed and decentralized architecture that incorporates extensive redundancy - providing a true parallel operation core switch with duplicated data and audio paths. The VCS 3020X provides the most modern user interface technology employing sunlight readable color touch panels. A System Design Review has been successfully completed for the project and the VCS 3020X systems will be delivered in spring 2009. In addition to this order from GENTEC, Frequentis has delivered or completed voice communications projects in the Kingdom for the Air Traffic Control Towers at Al Ahsa, Bisha, Gassim, Hail, Jazzan, and Jubail, Najran and Taif. Frequentis communications systems are in service at air traffic control centers, air defence facilities, police, fire, ambulance call centers and railroad command centers - in over 70 countries. Frequentis is the world leading supplier of voice communication systems for ATC and Air Defence.
