Aveillant’s leadership recognised in the international field of Navigation and Surveillance by Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

- Cambridge, UK.

Leading UK surveillance company Aveillant is the proud winner of the Navigation and Surveillance Communications category at this year’s IET Awards.

The prestigious annual awards, which were held in London this week (19 November) recognise the best innovations in engineering, science and technology across the globe.

The award recognises that Aveillant’s 3D Holographic Radar™ represents a significant breakthrough in radar technology, providing a constant view of airspace at all times, removing unwanted “clutter”.

Aveillant’s Holographic Radar™ is extremely spectrum efficient, with a low cost of ownership, whilst delivering high fidelity clutter free, 3D surveillance.  Therefore achieving multiple market aspirations.

The IET is one of the largest engineering membership organisations in the world and is supported by the department for British Innovation and Skills.

Tim Quilter, Aveillant’s Engineering Director, says: “Last night was a real celebration of the best innovations in technology and we’re extremely proud to have been awarded the IET Innovation Award 2014. We were shortlisted amongst other great institutions such as NATS, University College London, LeddarTech, Universitat Politècnica de València and Xidian University. This is recognition of a UK company supporting the aviation and renewable industries. With products ranging from deployable units to 40-mile regional surveillance solutions, designed and built to achieve current regulatory requirements, our 3D Holographic Radar™ is future-proofed to support upcoming developments.”
