FREQUENTIS Communication Technology for Croatia Control

Three months after Frequentis has been contracted to supply the communication equipment for the Area Control Centre (ACC) Zagreb as well as the towers in Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Pula, Split, and Zadar, the first factory acceptance tests were now completed successfully. Frequentis supplies a voice communication solution including back-up systems based on the successful Frequentis VCS 3020X and VCS smart3020X.
The signing of the contract with the Croatian air navigation service provider, Croatia Control, took place in July 2012; it includes the replacement of the voice communication systems for the ACC Zagreb, as well as main and the back-up systems for the towers in Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Pula, Split, and Zadar.

Its one of the basic principles with Croatia Control to pursue a high level of air traffic safety and to reach an outstanding quality of air navigation services compliant with national and international regulations, to full satisfaction of its service users. Therefore Croatia Control already now relies on a voice communication system deployed by Frequentis.

Behind this renewed success with Croatia Control lies a consistent and long-term-oriented customer relationship management as well as the comprehensive performance in the previous projects - Frequentis is thrilled that the cooperation under the new Director General of Croatia Control, Mr. Nino Karamatic, is to be continued.

The schedule is quite challenging: already by the end of 2012 the delivery and final inspection of the simulator for the ACC in Zagreb with 36 working positions were planned and successfully performed in 2013, the tower and the back-up systems will follow. The new main system for the ACC Zagreb is planned for 2014. Both parties are looking forward to a continued successful collaboration!
