FREQUENTIS implements smartMessenger AMHS System at Naviair in Denmark

The implementation of smartMessenger is a significant milestone in Naviairs migration to AMHS (ATS Message Handling System) as mandated by ICAO.
Naviair is a company owned by the Danish State which provides air navigation services in the countries of Denmark and Greenland. The air service navigation provider has been operating the Frequentis AFTN Message Switch system since 1986 in Denmark and since 1992 in Greenland.

With the latest upgrade, Frequentis implemented smartMessenger configured to support the AMHS, AFTN and CIDIN message formats and the management of OPMET data at Naviair facilities in Denmark. The system supports the activities of over 80 operators. The system was implemented with a short delivery schedule of 3 months from the signature of the contract to the final acceptance of the system.

We are very satisfied with the implementation support that we received from Frequentis and the performance of the system said Bent Fog, Director Technical Maintenance at Naviair.

Naviair and Frequentis have enjoyed a close collaboration for over 20 years and we are pleased that this collaboration will continue in the years to come said John Fort, CEO at Frequentis California.
