Frequentis smartAMI Provides Timely and Accurate Information about Airspace and Weather to LGS Air Traffic Controllers

- Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in Latvia successfully completed
Frequentis is pleased to announce that it has released smartAMI. smartAMI (AIM/ MET Informer) is designed to display selected aeronautical and weather information in real-time on a web interface for air traffic controllers, tower personnel, briefing officers, and airline dispatchers. smartAMI seamlessly integrates with existing ATM computing and network infrastructure. Each display can be configured to automatically display selected NOTAM and/or weather information from the AFTN/AMHS network or from other central data repository systems, e.g. EAD and SADIS.
smartAMI was delivered to Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme (LGS) and successfully tested on-site in the presence of the LGS representatives. LGS is currently training its operators before putting the system into full operation.
Vladislav Chaschin, Project Manager at LGS said: "smartAMI is replacing a system previously developed in-house that was hosted on obsolete hardware. We searched the market for a Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product but we were not successful in finding a solution that fully met all our needs. We contracted Frequentis to develop smartAMI and are very pleased with the delivered product, which allows each user to easily re-configure the display to contain exactly the information required to perform their particular task".
John Fort CEO at Frequentis California added “LGS and Frequentis have been collaborating in designing innovative solutions for over 10 years. With smartAMI, we have developed a product that is critical to the LGS’ operations. smartAMI will be showcased at Frequentis’ booth during the World ATM conference in Madrid”.
