Fernando Abril-Martorell: "INDRA is set to reinforce its leadership in Air and Aerospace Traffic Management Markets

Fernando Abril-Martorell, chairman of Indra, said: “Indra will reinforce its market leadership in the management of air and aerospace traffic”, as a supplier of the most advanced systems of traffic management, air defense, simulation, avionics, and technologies for the space sector.

On this point, and within the sphere of air traffic management, Abril-Martorell said that Indra would reinforce its position as a pioneering company in the development of the new generation of air traffic management systems, and continue with its commitments as one of the preeminent partners in the European SESAR program, the technological linchpin of the future Single European Sky. Abril-Martorell added: “Indra will grow in this market by exploring the new business opportunities offered by satellite navigation and the new generation of radar surveillance technology”.

Indra's chairman attended the opening of the “1st Latin America, Spain and Europe Forum: a look at aerospace cooperation” which takes place at the Indra headquarters today. The opening ceremony also featured talks by the chairman of the Chile-Spain Foundation, Alfonso Merry del Val; the chairman of TEDAE, Adolfo Menéndez; the Director-General for the Environment at the European Commission, Daniel Calleja Crespo; and the Secretary of State for Commerce at the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Jaime García-Legaz.
