Schmid Telecom wins VCS contract in Denmark

Naviair, Denmarks Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) Naviair signed with Schmid Telecom AG a contract for the delivery, installation and putting into service of 5 Voice Communication Systems (VCS) for different local regional ATC centers and regional airports in the country.

Schmid Telecom is delighted that Denmark joins numerous other European countries relying in the highly available Voice Communication Solutions provided by the proven ICS 200/60 Platform.

All the installations are based on ICS Compact Solution, providing a flexible and easy to maintain modular structure. The systems are intended to provide appropriate radio and telephone communication facilities for G/G and A/G Voice Communication, replacing existing obsolete technology. Installation of the first system is scheduled for autumn 2011 and the whole project shall be completed one year later.

With the dedicated focus of ICS 200/60 based products on the air traffic management market, Schmid Telecom is able to supply state of the art VCS solutions enabling a smooth update of legacy communication solution to the latest standards. With the full integration of legacy analogue, intermediate TDM-based as well as NextGen access within the system, Schmid Telecom is able to not only guarantee current access, but also enabling access to upcoming new solutions.
