We are looking for qualified Air Traffic Controllers to join our teams at Groningen or Maastricht. We are looking for approach- as well as tower-control colleagues for both Groningen Airport Eelde and Maastricht Aachen Airport.
At both airports you can expect an extremely varied mix of traffic. As a controller you are responsible for handling this dynamic mix of commercial air traffic, business aviation, helicopters, general aviation and flight training. This makes for an interesting combination of both fast and slow traffic, experienced airmen and pilots still in training. No day is the same and every day presents a new challenge. Shift work is part of the job as these airports are open seven days per week. Groningen Airport Eelde also incidentally opens at night to accommodate transplant flights.
In addition to your work as an air traffic controller, there are many career opportunities both within and outside operations. As an example we have air traffic controllers participating in technical innovations, providing training, scheduling, involved in the development of new airspace procedures and providing information at schools and career fairs. Taking on a role within the management of our organization could also be a possibility. So besides your operational tasks there are more than enough opportunities for personal development!
