DFS is seeking to hire an AFIS-specialist.

Tasks

  • In your position you are responsible for the operation of Aerodrome Flight Information Services
  • From your workplace, the tower, you carry out airport information and alarm services
  • You are responsible for implementing measures of the operational safety, quality and hazard prevention management system of DFS Aviation Services GmbH
  • In addition, you are responsible for the provision of contractually agreed additional services (including air traffic control officer)
  • The independent implementation of the weather observation and weather reporting service is also part of your tasks
  • In your role, you will report to the site team manager

Profile

  • Ideally you have or have held a valid FSPersAV AFIS Specialist Permit or Air Traffic Controller license with Aerodrome Control Permission
  • Alternatively, you have at least one year of practical experience as a flight controller and a pilot's license in accordance with EASA (at least LAPL/PPL)
  • You are also the holder of a general radiotelephony certificate for aeronautical radio (AZF)
  • In addition, you have very good knowledge of English (at least ICAO Level 4)
  • Ideally, you already have a valid health certificate in accordance with NfL II 78/01 or meet the requirements for this. You have a sense of responsibility, expressiveness, communication skills and good analytical and organizational skills
