The purpose of this CFT is to produce a derivative version of IMPACT, based on the current noise and emissions module, which will offer the same functionalities while freeing itself from the user interface and the dependence of user actions. Input data that have been produced upstream by other operational systems and put into the format expected by IMPACT (CID) would be used directly by this new version called INTACT in a completely autonomous way, up to expected outcomes are produced.
INTACT will therefore be able to be used by operational systems in near-real-time. INTACT will have advanced post-processing tools to aggregate the results of the studies on a periodic basis.
INTACT is the answer to the growing demand from EUROCONTROL's stakeholders to integrate into their operational systems information elements that will allow them to integrate the environmental impact of aviation into their operational decision-making process in a strategic and tactical way.
This is perfectly aligned with the objective of SESAR PJ.04 Solution 29.3 - Environmental performance management (one aspect of a Smart Airport), the objective of the European Green Deal, and a response to the strong environmental pressure on aviation.Click for more info
