The Maastricht UAC is currently developing a communication gateway interfacing several internal and external systems. It provides data distribution and reception services. The MADAP Service Bus (MSB) component relies on RedHat JBOSS fuse and implements a number of features: Message reception, fetching and routing between internal and external systems and SNMP interface to support remoted Monitoring and Control.
The Technical Surveillance Complex (TSC) is a monitoring and control application. It is used to manage the operational systems of Maastricht UAC. It allows the identification of problems, faults or unusual behaviours, and supports the resolutions of anomalous situations.
The TSC provides Technical Monitoring and Control staff the tools and facilities to monitor and control the various systems in a uniform manner. It assists System Control in managing incidents or applying corrective measures such as reconfiguration or shutdown/restart of applications.
The TSC application mainly uses the SNMP protocol to interrogate the managed components. In order to extend the system management to those subsystems without an SNMP agent, “SNMP adapter” modules need to be developed to allow communication between the TSC and these managed systems.
The purpose of the contract to be let is to support the software development of the MSB and TSC applications.Click for more info
