EUROCONTROL - Tasking support to the Airspace Management/AFUA Network strategic project

One of the Network Manager’s tasks is to develop, maintain and implement the Network Strategy Plan (NSP), which is the strategic tool for managing the European ATM network and which is aligned with the ATM Master Plan. The NSP defines the strategic operational objectives needed to achieve the required levels of ATM performance and serves as a reference for the activities to be carried out by the Network Manager (NM) and its operational stakeholders. The Network Strategy Plan includes a number of Network Strategic Projects amongst which is the Airspace Management/AFUA Network Strategic Project for which this Tasking Support is required, The introduction of the “Airspace management and Advanced FUA” strategic project, essential in combination with other identified network strategic projects for the implementation of the Network Strategy Plan, produced modifications to the ASMSG Work Plan to reflect the required activities for the implementation of the improvements identified in the NSP. The revised Work Plan implies re-organization of the existing high-level tasks, with some fine-tuning for the alignment with the new time frame of the appointment as well as the identification of limited new tasks whenever required in order to better support the NSP.

Therefore, the Tasking Support is proposed as a single undertaking under the ASM Work Plan and its deployment to cover the period 2019-2021. It is broken down in subtasks having the deliverables aligned with the Work Plan timeline and addressing specifically the milestones and target dates.
