HARDWARE AND ACQUISITION SOFTWARE FOR AUTOMATIC METEOROLOGICAL STATION FOR ACC BELGRADE

Scope of Supply

This specification consists of minimal requirements for Automated weather station`s hardware and acquisition software for Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport in Republic of Serbia (in further text AWS Belgrade), intended to serve aviation and meteorological observing needs in support of safe, regular and efficient CATIIIB operations improving thus the quality of the aeronautical meteorological services provided by SMATSA Llc in its area of responsibility. AWS Belgrade will be the core of the integral Automated Weather Observing System at Belgrade airport providing acquisition, processing, dissemination and display in real time of the meteorological parameters affecting approach and landing and take-off operations at Belgrade airport. Main purpose of AWS Belgrade as such will be limited to automatic observation as well as assessment of meteorological elements and weather phenomena concerning actual meteorological conditions at aerodrome. System will be used neither for generation and dissemination of routine and special observations nor as a primary means of displaying real-time data to air traffic services units. AWS Belgrade will be the principal source of data for SMATSA Llc existing system - Serbian Airport Weather Acquisition System (SAWAS) used for representation of meteorological data to air traffic services personnel as well as for generation of routine and special observations and reports, aerodrome forecasts and other meteorological information that are issued by Meteorological Office at SMATSA Llc ACC (TAF, TREND, SIGMET, AIRMET,…).

NOTE: SMATSA Llc will be responsible for civil works necessary for the preparation of the masts foundation as well as for the telecommunication and power supply infrastructure.
