Appointment of a service provider for Digital Airfield Information Display (DAID) Replacement.

ATNS (the Company) invites Bidders to tender for the replacement of the current AID system, as identified herein, to address the end of life and to ensure compatibility with future CNS equipment. The new AID system should be able to integrate and display the status of the various airfield and CNS systems on a single HMI screen.

PRELIMINARY

For identification purposes, the ATNS Aeronautical Information Display (AID) system shall refer also to the Digital Airfield Information Display (DAID).

SCOPE OF WORK

This project caters for the full replacement of the existing AID system installed at the following Air Traffic Service Units:

  • FAOR (OR Tambo International Airport);
  • FACT (Cape Town International Airport);
  • FABL (Bram Fischer International Airport);
  • FALE (King Shaka International Airport);
  • FAPE (Port Elizabeth International Airport);
  • FAEL (East London Airport); and
  • FAGG (George Airport)

The project shall include:

  • The decommissioning of existing equipment;
  • The disposal of existing equipment in line with the ATNS processes and procedures;
  • Supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a new AID system;
  • Provision of basic and advanced training to maintenance and operations personnel; and
  • Maintenance and support of the supplied AID system.
