Collaborative
leadership training
Course overview
In the multi-stakeholder environment of aviation, excellent performance can only be achieved through
collaboration within and between organisations. Achieving this requires an approach to management and
leadership that is qualitatively diferent from the sort of leadership that will be familiar to most managers.
Collaborative leadership is carried out in conditions of no or low authority, such that the application of
conventional leadership techniques will not only be inefective, they may actually make matters worse.
This course will introduce participants to the theory and practice of collaborative leadership. It has been de-
veloped from the instructors direct experience in airline, airport and air trafc control, and will be invaluable
for managers aiming to turn collaboration from vision to reality.
