Frequentis Group continues international success

Strong position as niche supplier in the safety critical area

For Frequentis the business year 2013 was both challenging and successful: In terms of operating performance the company attained with EUR 195 million an increase of 6% compared to the previous year and the generated EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) remained unchanged at EUR 9 million. The strategy of increased internationalisation resulted in a new record in terms of order intake which amounted to EUR 204 million.

Frequentis AG is an international supplier of communications and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and ambulance services, shipping, railways).

A market share of 30% makes the company group world market leader in the area of voice communication systems for air traffic control; it’s also world market leader in the area of Aeronautical Information Management.

In 2013 the Group was able to further expand its strong position as niche supplier in the safety critical area of the global market. Aside from positive growth figures the business key performance indicators show our stable profit situation. The more than 1,215 members of staff have generated an operating performance of EUR 195 million and secured an order intake of more than EUR 204 million which provides a solid base for the economic year of 2014.

We are going to continue on the path of sustainable growth. Based on the voice communication solution and in terms of optimised overall solutions we strive to offer further products and services for control centres in the safety-critical area. And in order to move even closer to the customer we aim at further increasing regional presence as well as local added value.
