DWI selected to supply RAIM Prediction to SilkAir

DWI is pleased to announce that SilkAir, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines operating scheduled passenger services from Singapore, will be obtaining RAIM predictions from DWI. SilkAir will be using DWI's GNSS RAIM/RNP Prediction Service Web User Interface (GRPS Web UI) to support its RNP AR operations into Tribhuvan International Airport (VNKT), Kathmandu's international airport.

The GRPS Web UI offers global coverage, 24/7 availability, supports all ICAO PBN Navigation Specifications and uses the latest GPS constellation. After a short training course, given over the internet, SilkAir was able to use the GRPS Web UI operationally.

"We're very pleased that SilkAir has selected the GRPS Web UI to support its PBN operations, especially for RNP AR into Kathmandu," said Charles Thornberry, Business Development Manager at DWI. "The GRPS Web UI supplies the RAIM prediction information SilkAir needs and the flexibility to grow going forward."
