Airspace Integration Week Madrid 2023 announces the ATM, UTM, STM and Civil-Military Cooperation Awards

Applications are due by 11 August and the awards will recognize the contribution to the integration of the U-space and the impact of their achievements

Airspace Integration Week Madrid announces for the first time awards that will recognize the most extraordinary achievements in the field of ATM, STM, UTM and civil-military cooperation. Any companies involved in the different sectors may submit their nominations through the platform enabled on the website https://airspaceintegrationweekmadrid.com/awards/. Applications are due by 11 August.

The integration awards will be judged on degree of integration, potential impact, and longevity and scale. In this vein, the civil-military award will be judged on degree of coordination and the potential impact. The panel of judges will select three finalists from each category to be present at the awards ceremony at Airspace Integration Congress, which will take place at IFEMA Madrid and Cuatro Vientos airport. The finalists will be announced by 30 September.

ATM Integration Award
Recognises new ideas, technologies, and concepts that create the potential to significantly advance performance, operations, or capabilities to develop integration and improvement of traditional airspace management.

STM Integration Award
Recognises new ideas, technologies, and concepts that create the potential to significantly advance performance, operations, or capabilities to integrate space activities with traditional airspace operations.

UTM Integration Award
Recognises new ideas, technologies, and concepts that create the potential to significantly advance performance, operations, or capabilities to integrate and develop UAS and AAM operations with the rest of the airspace users. 

Civil-military Cooperation Award
Recognises concepts, initiatives, or examples that represent best practices or accomplishments in civil-military cooperation.
