Concept Validation through Simulation: AT-One at the ATC Global 2011

How do you validate your ATM concepts to avoid expenses in the implementation and integration phases? AT-One will be present at the ATC Global 2011 to show the benefits of early validation using AT-Ones powerful simulation solutions.
At the ATC Global AT-One will show and discuss new approaches to ATM concept validation. Exemplary demonstrations of the following concepts and their validation with AT-Ones extensive simulation infrastructure will be continuously presented:

Future Air Ground Integration (FAGI)
Integration of fuel and noise efficient approach procedures (CDA) in high density traffic situations is demonstrated using time based separation with a late merging point. This is performed with a 4D Arrival Manager including new interactive HMI-Technologies developed in the FAGI project. Its successor flexiGuide extents and adapts these innovative ideas to European airports.

UAS Integration (SINUE)
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) will see their operational deployment in the civil world soon, where integration in controlled airspace is a major topic. SINUE continued successfully USICO, paving the way for operational integration, through simulation of the concept and procedures, especially under beyond-lineof-sight data link conditions. A synchronised ATC working position and Ground Control Station form the basis for this important step.

Environmentally Responsible Air Transport (ERAT)
ERAT focuses on more efficient and environmentally friendly operations in the eTMA by facilitating CDAs and CCDs. Aiming for reduced environmental impact in the vicinity of airports, ERAT has applied advanced Arrival Management with an extended planning horizon and using accurate time based arrivals to achieve a higher rate of CDAs without compromising on safety or capacity.

On AT-One
AT-One is the strategic alliance combining the strength of DLR's Institute of Flight Guidance and NLR's Air Transport Division. Both institutes have a long track record of providing innovative and independent Air Traffic Management research and implementation support. With this vast experience AT-One is a unique Centre of Excellence for Air Traffic Management and Airports, providing customer oriented solutions based on wide and deep knowledge and skills supported by a complete suite of facilities in Braunschweig and Amsterdam.
