DWI supplies RAIM to BaseOps

- Hook, UK

DWI is pleased to announce the agreement for the provision of RAIM predictions for BaseOps, a leading global flight support provider servicing corporate, charter and commercial flight operations. BaseOps, part of World Fuel Services is now using the GNSS RAIM/RNP Prediction Service Web-based User Interface (GRPS Web UI) to generate RAIM predictions for routes and aerodromes.

The web service provides a user-friendly interface allowing flight planners and dispatchers to store tail configurations, aerodromes, waypoints and entire routes to reduce workload and potential human error. Due to ease of use, a short training course, given over Webex, was all that was required for the dispatcher team to learn how to manage and operate the Web-based User Interface. BaseOps will continue to receive support from the DWI dedicated support helpdesk.

The GRPS is now being used by multiple operators around the world as an enabler for RNAV and RNP operations, including for RNP AR APCH down to 0.1NM. Predictions can be obtained automatically via flight planning systems as well as the Web UI. In both cases, the predictions are based upon the latest GPS constellation information.

"The GRPS Web UI gives BaseOps the ability to calculate RAIM availability for all phases of flight for their whole user-base," said John Wilde, CEO of DWI. "The global coverage offered by the GRPS Web UI is especially important for BaseOps considering the scope of their operations."
