Jeju Air selects GRPS for RAIM Predictions

Jeju Air, an airline based in Jeju City, South Korea, has selected DWI's GNSS RAIM/RNP Prediction Service Web-based User Interface (GRPS Web UI) to support its GNSS operations. The airline will be able to follow PBN guidelines requiring pre-flight RAIM predictions, calculated to ensure GNSS integrity. DWI has been offering the service since 2006 via the integrated service and via the GRPS Web UI.

The service, used by dozens of airlines worldwide and integrated with many flight planning solutions, allows users to calculate RAIM availability for their chosen destination or route. Predictions are produced in a user-friendly format and can be printed or saved for inclusion within the flight bag or briefing pack. Jeju Air representatives took a short online course with a DWI trainer and were immediately able to use the service.

"We're especially happy that Jeju Air was able to use our service for their RAIM Prediction requirement," said Charles Thornberry, Senior Consultant at DWI. "GNSS-based operations are becoming key in the region and the GRPS Web UI is a cost-effective enabler for operators."
