Micro Nav Tower Simulator steals the show at 50th Anniversary

- Bournemouth, U.K.

On Saturday 13th December 2014 the Nigerian College of Aviation (NCAT) celebrated its 50th anniversary and all eyes were on the Micro Nav BEST 360 degree, 3D Visual Tower Simulator which stole the show.

The Minister of Aviation referred to the system and commended the level of technology and visual representation demonstrated in his speech and thanked Micro Nav and all concerned with the installation for a job well done.

Of the four projects that were commissioned and showcased during the ceremony, the ATC Tower Simulator was hailed as the best showing. NCAT is the only Aviation Academy in the sub-region that has this type of equipment and offers training to controllers from other airfields and are looking to incorporate additional airports into the software.

“Having a simulator for training of Air Traffic Controllers that replicate the airports in Nigeria is very commendable. However, there is need to ensure regular updates so that any changes to the airports are incorporated. The College is to ensure that all Nigerian Airports are incorporated in the simulator as trainees will come from all Nigerian airports.”  Said Chief Ositadinma Benjamin Chidoka, Honourable Minister of Aviation

Michael Saunders, Sales and Marketing Director at Micro Nav states “The positive reaction from all parties at the ceremony is a testament to the quality of our product and we look forward to future collaboration and building a long term relationship in this region. The endorsement by NCAT demonstrates our commitment to provide our customers with the BEST solution to suit all their ATC simulation training needs.”
