Systems Interface awarded Derry Airport Contract

Systems Interface, based in the UK, has been awarded a major contract for the supply, design, installation, testing and commissioning of a replacement Voice Communications Control System (VCS), VHF Transmitters and Receivers, UHF
Transceivers, Emergency Radio System, MET/ATIS System, Comms Status Monitoring System and telephones at the City of Derry City Airport, Eglinton, Northern Ireland.
Contracts have been signed between CoDA(Operations) Ltd and Systems Interface for the provision of a Frequentis 3020X Voice Communication System (VCS). Also included will be the installation of a Jotron Radio System, Comms Status Monitoring System, a Co-Channel UHF system, a Copperchase ATIS System. Systems Interface will also provide the Safety Case.

City of Derry Airport provides a vital air access link for the local community and surrounding areas in Derry-Londonderry. In 2011 the airport handled 405,697 passengers, a 19.5% increase compared to 2010, to a range of destinations across the UK and Europe as well as being one of the principle gateways to the North West of Ireland.
