Systems Interface win Navaid and AWOS contract for new International Airport in UGANDA

- Cranleigh, Surrey.

Systems Interface, based in the UK, has been awarded a ‘Turnkey’ contract by SBC (Uganda) Limited for the supply, installation and commissioning of a CAT1 ground to air Navaid system at the new Kabaale International Airport. The airport, also known as Hoima International Airport, is currently under construction in Kabaale Parish, Uganda.

Systems Interface will supply a Normarc Instrument Landing System (ILS) co located with Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) and a Doppler VHF Omnidirectional Range Beacon (DVOR) co-located with a DME. Systems Interface will also supply and install an Automatic Weather Observation System (AWOS) manufactured by Coastal Environmental Systems.
