Thales presents FlyBrief, a Pilot Briefing application on iPAD
Thales, the leader in Air Traffic Management, continues to innovate in Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) by extending its solution with FlyBrief, a pilot briefing application on iPAD.
FlyBrief enables pilots to create and prepare their flight briefing directly on their iPAD through an intuitive geographical interface, and to update their briefing at the last minute. During the flight, pilots can consult their briefing and visualize meteorological and NOTAM
information displayed on a map, relative to their current GPS position. Finally, when pilots arrive at their final destination, they can export and visualize their flight trajectory on a 3D viewer.
FlyBrief is the first application of its type in the AIM domain and improves safety through upto-date and geographical presentation of validated aeronautical information. FlyBrief will be soon downloadable from the Apple Store.
Like many other innovations, Pilot Briefing on iPAD will be presented by the Thales booth during the ATC Global exhibition in Amsterdam from the 6th to 8th March 2012.
* NOTAM: NOtice To AirMen
