2007-2008 ESR Technology Position: Principal Consultant Project Management of WGS 84 Survey and AIP charts for Muscat (SEEB) International Airport. Oversight of specialist sub-contractors, Liaison with Director of Operations Oman Management Airport Company Acquisition and delivery of Najaf International Airport Master Plan. Providing strategic input to the master plan and making recommendations on its ICT infrastructure development and safe guarding and airspace arrangements. 2002-2007 Airport Systems Consultancy Limited Position: Director & Independent Consultant Operating under my own consultancy company: Contract with ALCATEL\THALES Test & Commissioning / Construction Interface Manager Working on Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 construction project. Contracting professional services to ALCATEL who are providing the information technology infrastructure and special airport systems for the Dubai Terminal 3 project. I was brought in as a consultant as part of the management team for project recovery. This requires liaison between client, engineer and subcontractors formulating contractual letters regarding the needs between construction environment and systems suppliers, coordinate and manage the test and commissioning activities. Coordination of test and commissioning activities for THALES. Contract with HARMONIC Consultancy / SELEX SI UK Project Manager for the design and delivery of the Terminal Airspace facility at the NERC Swanwick. This was an interim position managing the team and the project and putting in place statements of work for sub-contractors Contract with EUROCONTROL Won three year contract (353K) to assist in the development of building a business case for the future development of Cooperative Air Traffic Services and support to the Strategic Performance Framework department at EUROCONTROL. Part of my work was part of the task force to merge two major programmes (ADS-B & COOPATS) resulting in one of the leading European programmes for the development of future air traffic services utilising ADS-B and Datalink as well as secretary of the Planning Focus Group for CASCADE. Familiarity with ICAO and various other Aviation standards. 1999-2002 Copperchase Limited Position: Operations Manager, Reporting to the MD, responsible for the set up of an installation services division to install Schmid Telecom ATC voice communication systems across UK NATS airport sites including Heathrow, Glasgow, Gatwick, Jersey airports. Position: Senior Project Manager, Reporting to the MD, responsible for all company projects and refining processes to increase efficiency and project manager for the installation of the Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunications Network (AFTN) system for Ghana International Airport. My duties required me to have a primary customer interface and exploit business opportunities. Provided assistance to GBM by working with the Architect of the Abu Dhabi airport terminal in interpreting his requirements and specifications. Key Skills: Bid management, coordination, customer interface. 1989 - 1998 Siemens Plessey Airports: Position: Technical Operations Manager Identification of opportunity, commercial discussion, drafting of contract leading to the establishment of a Technical Assistance Service (TAS) to Macau International Airport (1.6M US$). Management of TAS into Macau International Airport. Assisted Macau Airport Engineering Department in the introduction of the newly deployed navaids and communications systems into operation Provided sales and marketing support in S.E. Asia. Personnel management and maintenance of on site accounts. Position: Project Engineer Macau International Airport construction project responsible for the interpretation of customer specifications, production of proposals, systems design (I was systems design authority), procurement (US$30 Million) including aeronautical navigation equipment, radio and voice communications systems, information systems, security access systems and CCTV systems. Management of systems design team. On site management in Macau of 23 sub-contractors. Liaison with clients consultants including AACM, CAAC, CAM and Aeroport de Paris performing collision risk analysis. Flight trial manager and production of flight trial procedures. The flight inspectors provided procedures for the standard Instrument Landing Systems and in coordination with the flight checkers I produced radar procedures and a procedure related to a modified ILS for instrument guidance for aircraft. Supervision of the Terminal Building ICT fit and working closely with the Engineer. Authority for the issue of construction drawings to the Engineer. Responsible for on site accounting and personnel matters. Position: Senior Systems Engineer Navigation Systems for interpretation of specifications, production of proposals, design and implementation and procurement (360K Pounds) of communications system with a NATO missile firing range in Crete. Formal presentations to NATO general staff. This included the provision of voice communication systems, microwave link systems, liaison with the Greek PTT communication interfacing. I was responsible for the design and production of a missile firing indication system and worked with a NATO Chief Technical Advisor to identify the output message format of an existing radar installation for integration in new systems to be provided. Direct contact with the customer was required. Responsible for producing factory acceptance specification and managing the testing at the factory in Hawaii with the customer. Part of Systems Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) for Mount Pleasant Airport, Falkland Islands. Advisor to MoD on radio communications problems and future communications solutions for systems upgrade for the Falkland Islands. Liaison with senior officers relating to strategies for major communications upgrade for Falklands.
