Preparation for training as an Aerodrome Flight Information Officer (AFISO)

The Basic and Rating Course provides participants with the theoretical and practical knowledge to begin their training as an AFISO at an aerodrome information point.

The AFIS course has been developed in accordance with German (FSPersAV), European (EASA) as well as ICAO standards and recommendations. It consists of theoretical training (Basic Course) and practical exercises in a tower simulator (Rating Course).

The course is aimed at people who wish to pursue a career as an AFISO or expand their opportunities in the field of air traffic control. Previous aviation-specific knowledge is helpful but not necessary.
