Airports Council International World Calls for Modernisation of Outdated Airport Slot System Stifling Competition and Costing Passengers

Airports Council International (ACI) World, the trade association of the world’s airports, today released a white paper calling for the modernisation of the global airport slot allocation system. The white paper details how an outdated regulatory framework, designed more than 50 years ago, is forcing the aviation industry into inefficient compromises, creating barriers to socio-economic competitiveness and connectivity. FAA to equip 3,000 airport vehicles with VMATs at 61 airports under new round of investment

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. First Group of Trainees of BHANSA Training Centre Successfully Completes Basic Air Traffic Controller Training

The first group of 17 trainees at the Training Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) have been awarded certificates upon successful completion of the Basic Training. This marks the completion of the first stage of their professional training, which began in June this year, when the first certified Air Traffic Controller Training Centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina was opened in Mostar. During the Basic Training, the trainees acquired the knowledge and competencies required to continue their training towards obtaining an air traffic controller licence.
