Snowflake Software has been acquired by Cirium (Feb., 2020), expanding Cirium's aviation analytics. Cirium, which is part of RELX, expects the acquisition to give the combined group a world-class capability in handling live flight data for the global air transport industry.

System Wide Information Management (SWIM) is a topic that is often discussed without the wider context of the operational benefits or recognition of what is required to implement it in the real world. Last year the SWIM Gateway, an instance of Snowflake Software's Flight Object Manager product, went operational in the United Arab Emirates, and we have since been accelerating our customers' SWIM roadmaps through further installations in the ASEAN SWIM Trial.
