As the FAA moves forward with the NextGen Implementation Plan (NGIP), questions arise in the aviation community concerning the NGIP efforts currently underway:
  • What is the progress toward achieving the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen)?
  • How will recommendations of RTCAs NextGen Mid-Term Implementation Task Force be integrated in FAAs planning process?
  • Who is representing industry in meetings with FAA?
  • How will the Task Force recommendations be implemented?
  • What aviation technologies will be emphasized between now and 2018?
    • At the RTCA Spring Symposium, you will drill deep into NextGen with sessions focused on the challenges surrounding implementation and what technology and applications are driving NextGen solutions, such as Automatic Dependant Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Infrastructure, Ground Based Augmentation Systems (GBAS) operations, Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and Trajectory-based Operations (TOps).
