CRIDA

CRIDA (ATM R&D+innovation Reference Centre) was created on the 27th of February of 2008 as an association of economic interests between the Spanish public entity AENA (Aeropuertos Españoles Y Navegación Aérea) and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). CRIDA is a centre for research, development and innovation in the Air Traffic Management field (Air Traffic Management, ATM). CRIDA is conceived as an institution to merge the different lines of activity in ATM R&D in Spain. The centre is linked to pure research through the involvement of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and to the applied research and exploitation of the Air Navigation System (SNA), through the involvement of the Spanish ATM services provider, AENA. Its mission will be to carry out activities in the ATM R&D field to improve the performance of the Spanish air navigation system as an integral part of a global system(in particular, safety, capacity, and economic and environmental efficiency).
