INDRA Completes the development of INPLAN, The new solution to improve Airport Management

- Madrid, Spain

Indra has completed the development of INplan, the new advanced airport collaborative decision making (A-CDM) tool for managing airport operations. The company has presented the solution in the framework of the world ATM congress that has started in Madrid.

According to estimates by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the number of passengers will increase by 31% between now and 2017. This will require airports to manage ground operations more efficiently.

The various agents involved in managing flights on land are able to make decisions together
To achieve this, Indra has developed INplan, a solution that allows integrating all the information handled by the various agents. As a result, air control data, airline information and information handled by ground operators are available to all the parts at the same time.

The system receives information generated automatically by various systems in real time as well as the items updated manually.

The system allows the early detection of problems that could alter airport work plans
Through its integration, INplan offers a single vision of the situation, makes predictions and provides the early detection of problems that affect the plans that have been established, generating alerts and proposing alternatives to operators for their resolution.

All of this significantly increases the effectiveness and speed of how the airport is managed, and it also allows facing the sharp increase in the number of passengers expected for the upcoming years, while helping to reduce environmental emissions and general airport costs.

INplan is one of the most advanced solutions on the market and it complies with Eurocontrol and SESAR requirements for collaborative systems (CDM)
Indra has developed INplan in accordance with Eurocontrol requirements for A-CDM systems and taking into consideration the objectives established by the SESAR programme, the technological pillar of the project for building the Single European Sky. The company, one of SESAR's top partners, has formed part of the work teams that have developed and validated the A-CDM technologies for improved airport management.

In the field of ATM and airport solutions, Indra is a leading company that has implemented its systems at more than 3,000 facilities in over 140 countries.
