SkySoft-ATM & ROSE Simulation GmbH Awarded Major Control Tower Contract by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

- Geneva, Switzerland.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the world's largest, fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace.

Embry-Riddle has partnered with SkySoft-ATM and ROSE Simulation GmbH. In the agreement, SkySoft-ATM and ROSE Simulation GmbH have delivered a new control tower simulation solution for the University.

The solution includes three suites of the 3D Tower Simulator AMOS with a 180° visualization, Electronic Flight Strips ELSA, Voice Com IRIS and Radar Simulator ROSE, which are used as a situational radar display. Each suite has two controller working positions and two pilot positions. The whole setup can be managed from one supervisor position equipped with the LISA system, which allows configuration and startup for all control tower positons and applications.

After three weeks of setup and staff training, Dr. William B. Coyne (ERAU, Professor and Coordinator of the Air Traffic Management Program) was very satisfied to see the system in use. The ERAU staff by then already had developed exercises for two 3D aerodromes (Daytona Beach, FAA Academy training airport), that were part of the delivery.

The AMOS Tower Suites will be used for educational and research activities.
