Adacel and EANS Co-Host EUROCAE WG-100 Remote & Virtual Tower Meeting in Tallinn, September 23-25 in Tallinn, Estonia

- Tallinn, Estonia

Adacel Technologies Limited (Adacel) is proud to co-host, alongside Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS), the annual in-person plenary of EUROCAE Working Group 100 (WG-100) Remote & Virtual Tower meeting, running from September 23 to 25, 2025, in Tallinn, Estonia.

The EUROCAE WG-100 is tasked with producing standards for Remote and Virtual Towers (RVT) including the development of the Minimum Aviation System Performance Standards (MASPS) applicable to this technology’s visual surveillance functions.

Throughout the year, WG-100 core members meet regularly in virtual sessions to advance this work. However, the in-person meetings, hosted in different member locations, are the group’s only opportunity to gather as a whole. This three-day meeting facilitates critical decision-making and collaborative advancement of the WG-100’s agenda. It serves as a milestone to review the progress made by the core team and to collectively shape the future direction of remote tower standardization.

This year’s plenary is being held in Tallinn, Estonia, co-hosted by Adacel and EANS. Adacel is a member of EUROCAE, and EANS is currently a candidate member of EUROCAE. Adacel’s Teele Kohv, Head of Programs for Digital Tower Solutions, and Meelis Nõmm, Product Manager for Digital Tower Solutions, both of whom regularly contribute to the WG100’s ongoing efforts, will be representing Adacel alongside a larger group during the event. EANS is represented at the meeting by professionals involved in the development of the RVT concept in Estonia.“

“As a technology provider deeply involved in the evolution of remote and virtual tower systems, Adacel is honored to help facilitate this vital gathering,” said Neil Bowles, Adacel’s Vice President of Air Traffic Management. “It reflects our shared dedication to supporting the development of cohesive, industry-ready standards that will advance safety and efficiency around the globe.”

“Co-hosting the WG-100 meeting is a great opportunity to exchange knowledge with all participating parties. This gives EANS a valuable platform to share experiences and learn from others,” said Ivar Värk, CEO at EANS. “It highlights EANS’ commitment to advancing remote tower development while engaging with industry peers and regulators on shared safety goals.”

“The continued commitment of all WG-100 members is vital to advancing standardization in the remote and virtual tower domain,” said Alex Milns, Technical Programme Manager at EUROCAE. “Our members’ active engagement ensures that the standards we develop are robust, forward-looking, and aligned with the operational realities of the aviation industry.”
