Adacel awarded contract by CAE to support the RAAF Future Air Mission Training System Air Traffic Control training
Adacel Technologies Limited (Adacel), a global leader in air traffic management (ATM) simulation technology, is proud to be awarded a contract by CAE in delivering the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Future Air Mission Training System (F-AMTS) Air Traffic Control (ATC) training under Project AIR5428 Phase 3. The F-AMTS will transform the way the RAAF trains its mission air crew and air traffic controllers by providing a modern, integrated training environment.
Delivered to RAAF Base East Sale in Victoria, Adacel will provide its worldleading MaxSim™ Air Traffic Control simulation technology, bringing immersive ATC training capability to RAAF.
The F-AMTS will leverage Adacel’s advanced simulation and visual technologies, including speech recognition, enhanced weather modelling, and online learning technologies. As an Australian company with global reach, Adacel’s participation strengthens sovereign defence industry capability, generates skilled jobs, and ensures longterm training outcomes for RAAF.
“Adacel is proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force by contributing our MaxSim™ ATC simulation technology to the F-AMTS. This program represents a generational step forward in how Australia trains its mission aircrew and controllers,” shared Daniel Verret, Adacel CEO. “Our role is to ensure RAAF controllers and instructors have access to the most immersive, effective, and future-ready simulation environment available – developed and sustained by an Australian company with a global track record of excellence.”
“Achieving mission readiness for today’s rapidly evolving defence and security landscape requires a training partner who deeply understands the complexity and challenges faced in operations,” explained France Hébert, Vice President and General Manager, CAE Defense & Security, Canada and International. “CAE is proud to deliver a future-ready training system that combines innovation, technical advantage, and trusted partnerships to help RAAF raise, train, and sustain skilled personnel. This is more than a shift in how training is delivered; it is a strategic investment in Australia’s national resilience and defense capability.”
