Adacel Awarded Contract to Deliver Integrated Aerodrome and Radar Simulators to Barbados Civil Aviation Training Centre
Adacel Technologies Limited (Adacel), a global leader in air traffic management systems (ATM) and air traffic control (ATC) simulation and training solutions, today announced that it has received a contract from the Barbados Ministry of Tourism and International Transport to deliver three (3) integrated MaxSim Aerodrome and Radar simulators for installation at the Barbados Civil Aviation Training Centre (BCATC). The simulators will enhance BCATC’s training capabilities by providing high-fidelity, integrated simulation environments that support the development and certification of air traffic controllers to international standards.
“Being selected by the Barbados Ministry of Tourism and International Transport and BCATC is a significant milestone for Adacel,” said Daniel Verret, CEO of Adacel. “Our MaxSim simulators are designed to deliver realistic, operationally representative training that enhances safety, efficiency, and confidence for air traffic controllers. We are proud to support BCATC in strengthening its role as a regional center of excellence for aviation training.”
The integrated MaxSim Aerodrome and Radar simulators will enable BCATC to deliver comprehensive, scenario-based training across both tower and radar operations, ensuring trainees are fully prepared for real-world operational environments.
A representative of the Barbados Government welcomed the award, noting its importance to the country’s aviation sector.
“This investment reflects our continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and training in Barbados,” said Charley Browne, Permanent Secretary of International Transport. “Partnering with Adacel to deploy state-of-the-art simulation technology at the Barbados Civil Aviation Training Centre will enhance safetycentric training, strengthen our national and regional aviation capabilities and support the ongoing development of highly skilled air traffic control professionals.”
Installation and implementation of the simulators will take place at BCATC as part of Adacel’s comprehensive delivery and support program.
