Adacel awarded new FAA contract for Tower Simulation System Support & Technical Refresh

- Orlando, FL, USA

Adacel, an industry leader in advanced air traffic management solutions and simulation and training systems, is pleased to announce a new contract award from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) following a competitive bid process. Valued at USD$59 million over five years, this contract will encompass a comprehensive range of services connected with the existing installed network of Tower Simulation Systems (TSS), including the maintenance and support of the TSS hardware and a full-scale technical refresh for all major components within the TSS large and small systems and TSS Mobile Units.

"As the FAA TSS software Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Adacel brings unique knowledge and unparalleled experience with these systems, which will ensure minimal disruptions to training throughout the program's duration. We are steadfastly committed to making robust, consistent training a daily reality at the FAA," shared Daniel Verret, Adacel's CEO. "Our industry track record spans over 35 years, including over two decades of supporting the world's largest TSS program, characterized by exceptional system availability throughout its history. It is an honor to partner with the FAA in ushering in this new era of TSS program support and to continue the longstanding commercial partnership between our organizations," expressed Mr. Verret.

The scope of the TSS program support includes a comprehensive Help Desk support staffed by highly skilled technical and Air Traffic Control Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), access to Adacel’s Training System Support Center (TSSC), the deployment of on-site Field Service Representatives/Technicians (FSRs/FSTs), and the use of Adacel's Web-Based Integrated Data Environment (WIDE) data repository.  There are no material conditions that need to be satisfied before the agreement becomes legally binding.
