Adacel Completes ATC Training System Installation in St Maarten

- Montreal, Canada.

Adacel announced today that the Company has successfully completed installation and site acceptance testing for their MaxSim Tower Simulation System and Intelligent Communications Environment (ICE) training systems at Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten.

The state-of-the-art Adacel MaxSim Tower simulator will enable training in all facets of aerodrome control. The ICE stations are independent systems that are primarily used to assist in aviation phraseology proficiency and communications procedures. The Adacel systems will be integrated into the St Maarten Civil Aviation Authority’s ATC training program and will allow the region’s air traffic controllers to have access to tools that will promote the development of the essential skills to perform in accordance with the highest international standards. St. Maarten joins Curacao and Trinidad within the Caribbean region using Adacel ATC simulators to enhance their controller training capabilities.

Adacel’s ATC simulation systems have proven to be very effective in developing higher proficiency and accelerating the learning process of controllers during their course of study and operational training. The simulators are designed to provide ATC students with realistic hands-on practice that reinforces learning, from the basics of phraseology and communications through the advanced skills required to be a competent controller.
