Adacel Showcases Next-Generation Combat-Focused ATC Training at AFA's Air, Space & Cyber Conference

- Orlando, Florida. USA.

Adacel is proud to announce the launch of its next-generation combat-focused air traffic control (ATC) training capability, purpose-built to prepare military operators for the challenges of modern contested airspace. Leveraging its proven MaxSim simulation platform, Adacel delivers unprecedented mission realism to strengthen readiness for joint and coalition operations worldwide. This new capability is set to be demonstrated at the Air & Space Forces Association’s (AFA) upcoming Air, Space & Cyber Conference.

The new system integrates advanced speech recognition, dynamic 4K image generation, and immersive wearables to replicate austere landing zones, expeditionary airfields, forward-operating bases, and mobile command-and-control environments. This capability provides a realistic, adaptive training environment where controllers can safely rehearse tactical airspace management and counter– unmanned aerial systems (C-sUAS) scenarios.

Key military-focused capabilities of the new system include:

• Combat Simulation Framework – Replicates tactical airspace operations and management fundamentals while supporting multi-domain, joint-force integration.
• AI-Driven Speech Interaction – Enables real-time communication under combat stress conditions with AI-driven controllers.
• Dynamic Visual Realism – Mission-adaptive 4K visuals that evolve with terrain, weather, and threat conditions.
• Immersive Wearables – Virtual and mixed reality training for tower, landing zone, and mobile comand and control operations.
• Geospatial Fidelity – Real-world topographical and imagery data to support operationally accurate rehearsal and timing.

“At Adacel, we are committed to continuously advancing training solutions that prepare operators for the future fight,” said Michael Saunders, Vice President at Adacel. “By combining MaxSim’s proven capabilities with combat-focused innovation, we’re helping the next generation of military controllers gain the confidence and adaotability required to manage contested airspace in today’s most demanding environments,” said Mike Saunders, Vice President, Adacel.

Adacel will showcase this next-generation capability at the upcoming Air, Space & Cyber Conference, September 22-24, 2025, in National Harbor, Maryland.
