Airport Concepts to introduce service packages at Passenger Terminal Expo 18th 20th April

Airport Concepts, a development initiative executed by Vantaa Innovation Institute and Turku University Business and Innovation Unit, will be exhibiting at the world's leading international airport terminal conference and exhibition, Passenger Terminal Expo 2012. This years event takes place in Vienna, Austria, and will be the 18th international conference and exhibition for passenger terminal design, management, security and technology.

Airport Concepts will have a joint exhibition stand shared between all the 16 companies participating in the initiative. The stand will showcase products and services of these individual companies, but more importantly, it will introduce the combinations of those - thats what Airport Concepts is all about.

Airport Concepts project started in August 2011 with the objective of creating new innovative service concepts for international airports. The idea was to combine and complement products and services of different airport related companies to form complete integrated solutions for the end customers: airports.

Now, after seven months, two rounds of workshops and hours of brainstorming, the service packages have been formed and there are three packages to be introduced at the upcoming exhibition:

• Airport Development (Pöyry, SRV, Ahkera Smart Tech, Barrisol, Champion Door, Mitron, Rostek, Studio Antti E, Teleste, Finavia)
• Winter Conditions Solutions ( Vaisala, Moventor, Arctic Machine, Kemira, Finavia)
• Airside Solutions (Vaisala, Exel Composites, Idman, Efla, Finavia)

All the packages include products and services of the companies participating in the project. The products and services complement each other in a way to create a functional turnkey package for the customer. The idea is to make the airport procurement process as simple as possible. Airport Concepts solutions allow the buyer to purchase everything they need from one place. In addition, Airport
Concepts provide benefits like cost savings, ease of purchase and one stop service. Not to mention the high Finnish quality of the products.
