As a partner of THALES Norway, CS will supply Lithuania Ministry of Defense Critical components for the first ASBE VCE

- Paris, France

CS is pleased to announce that it has recently signed an agreement with its longtime partner Thales Norway in the frame of a contract for the procurement of an advanced Air Command and Control System Voice Communication System to serve the requirements of the three Baltic States (Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia).

This contract has been notified to Thales Norway on the 17th of September 2013 by the NCI Agency (NATO Communications and Information Agency). It provides the implementation of the ACCS Software Based Element Voice Communication Element to be installed in the combined Control and Reporting Centre at Karmėlava in Lithuania and connected to the radio sites in Estonia, Latvia, and
Lithuania.

In the scope of this project, CS will provide the radio elements of the Voice Communications Equipment. The EUROCAE ED‐137B compliant Voice communication System (VCS) solution CSoIP will form the radio architecture in order to deliver secured and non‐secured comprehensive radio services. On top of that, the newly designed IP gateway called VGoIP which also operates according to ED137, will ensure IP mode remote control (voice and command) of analogue transmitters/receivers distributed in the Baltic States.

Moreover, the CS‐designed innovative IP based Voice/Data recorder referred to as VRoIP, is also part of the delivery. This component will be responsible of recording voice communications along with data exchanges occurring during operations while offering the Air Traffic Control operators an adapted and efficient tool enabling comfortable replay functionalities.

“We are happy to build on the relations with Thales Norway and expand the trust awarded by the NCI Agency in CS’s expertise and dedicated solutions. This project encompasses a large part of CS’s ATC portfolio and is the perfect showcase of CS capabilities” said Frederic Dussart, Deputy Director of the Business Unit Defense, Security & ATM.

Through this agreement, defining the supply of equipment and services to Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia through NATO, CS strengthens its position as a major ATC communication product supplier. This high level partnership demonstrates once again the ability of CS’s products to comply with
demanding mission‐critical systems requirements.
