CANSO announces appointment of Selma Khedhaier as Senior Vice President, Finance and HR
CANSO (The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation) is pleased to announce the appointment of Selma Khedhaier as Senior Vice President, Finance and Human Resources.
This new and expanded role will oversee CANSO’s financial strategy, investments, and day-to-day financial management. It also includes responsibility for office management, IT, logistics, human resources, legal and contractual oversight, as well as governance and compliance functions, including coordination of the organisation’s Annual General Meeting.
Based in Montreal, Selma brings over 20 years of executive experience in finance, governance, and organisational transformation across international, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. She has led multimillion-dollar initiatives with institutional partners such as Global Affairs Canada and the European Union, focusing on strategic financial oversight, digital innovation, and people-centred transformation.
Her career includes senior positions at Bonduelle Americas, Equitas, and Action Against Hunger, where she delivered operational improvements, strengthened risk and governance frameworks, and promoted ethical leadership.
Her appointment reflects CANSO’s commitment to strengthening its financial and organisational foundations as the organisation continues to grow in its new global base – Montreal, Canada.

Selma holds a Master’s degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada), an Executive MBA from Paris Dauphine University (France), and a Global Competent Board Designation in Sustainability and ESG from Competent Boards | Board Intelligence (Canada | UK). She is a long-standing member of CPA Quebec and CPA Canada, and contributes to national governance bodies including the Accounting Standards Board of Canada and Cooperation Canada’s CFO Working Group.
