Leidos to Highlight Innovative Models for Air Traffic Modernisation at Airspace World 2026
Leidos (NYSE:LDOS) will highlight new approaches to air traffic management (ATM) modernisation at Airspace World 2026, the world’s largest ATM event organized by the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO). With a focus on improving efficiency, resilience and collaboration across the aviation industry, Leidos and its partners will be demonstrating innovative solutions designed to help air navigation service providers (ANSPs) modernize operations and manage increasingly complex airspace.
At Airspace World 2026, Leidos and its partners will share how this shift is being applied in practice through the following sessions:
- 26 May at 12:00 (GMT+1) From Critical Corridor to Competitive Advantage: How Kazakhstan is Turning Strategic Airspace into a Model for Modern ATM
Kazaeronavigatsia Director General, Faat Bogdashkin, will join Leidos SkyLine Portfolio Manager Kenneth Folger to discuss Kazakhstan’s national ATM transformation. With passenger traffic projected to reach 26 million by 2030 and rapid expansion of international routes, the ANSP is modernizing to enhance safety, scalability, and operational efficiency across a critical global air corridor.
- 27 May at 13:30 (GMT+1) Advancing ATM Through ANSP and Industry Partner Co-Development
Leidos Senior Director of ATM, Will Estrada, will explore how co-development enables ANSPs to accelerate modernization through closer collaboration with industry partners. This approach supports more agile delivery, reduces reliance on proprietary solutions, and helps build long-term internal capability.
“Airspace World provides an important platform to share what’s working in real-world operations,” said Jim Preaskorn, vice president of Air Traffic at Leidos. “We look forward to showcasing how we’re helping ANSPs modernize systems in a way that improves performance today while preparing for future demand.”
“Air traffic management is undergoing a period of significant transformation,” said Simon Hocqueard, CANSO President & CEO. “Collaboration between ANSPs, airlines and industry partners is critical to delivering the future capabilities of air traffic management. Airspace World brings together global leaders to share expertise and show innovations that drive progress across the world’s airspace.”
As a platinum sponsor of Airspace World 2026, Leidos will also showcase demonstrations of its SkyLine-X™ air traffic management system. Attendees are invited to attend these sessions and visit the Leidos at booth H1-D52 or visit leidos.com/airspace-world to learn more.
