COMSOFT and SELEX SI Look at Auspicious Times Ahead

The European ATC players COMSOFT and SELEX Sistemi Integrati underline commitment to further joint projects in the future.
KARLSRUHE/GERMANY, November 2010 The German ATM supplier COMSOFT and Italy-based integrator of the ATC domain SELEX Sistemi Integrati have both acknowledged beneficial effects from their industrial cooperation. The second entry on their joint track record has caused the parties to résumé on their mutual success: We trust in our synergies and believe that our growing partnership is built on solid ground, paving the way for more projects to come, said COMSOFTs CEO Manfred Schmid.
Their latest joint undertaking is the provision of an advanced Multi Radar Tracking System for four major ATC centres on behalf of the Italian air navigation service provider ENAV. In this project COMSOFT acts as subcontractor to SELEX Sistemi Integrati, delivering, installing and fine-tuning eight surveillance data processing systems of the type ARTAS.
This successful partnership started flourishing in the end of 2008 when the Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar had contracted SELEX Sistemi Integrati for the design and provision of air and ground traffic control systems for the futuristic New Doha International Airport. SELEX Sistemi Integrati as main contractor of this large scale project chose COMSOFT for integrating their renowned aeronautical message handling system AIDA-NG and advanced AIM solution CADAS including fully integrated eAIP, charting and NOTAM and OPMET database services.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati is known as leader in overall ATC solutions and endorses the German technology by once more deciding for COMSOFTs products and services for the recent contract.
