COMSOFTs RAPS off to the Far East

NEC Tokyo have taken delivery of COMSOFTs ASTERIX data analysis tool to support the validation process of their high performance radars.
TOKYO/JAPAN, March 2010 The Japanese industry giant NEC has chosen COMSOFTs ASTERIX tool RAPS-3 for the conformance testing and validation of their high performance radars from their CNS/ATM portfolio. In order to back the internal test procedures for their Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) and the Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) the customer has opted for the powerful and versatile test and evaluation tool RAPS-3. To benefit from COMSOFTs vast expertise in the field of surveillance the multifaceted manufacturer NEC additionally opted for a tailored workshop, which acquainted the new customer in Japan with the immense capabilities and applications of their latest surveillance tool.
RAPS is a portable computer and offers versatile approaches to inspect the quality and correctness of surveillance data. With features such as the online and offline analysis of surveillance data, the filtering, conversion, and generation of surveillance data, the tool can be customised for nearly any test scenario. Its officially qualified ASTERIX processor adds the cutting edge. From the Americas across Europe and the Middle East, this successful product has now extended its customer base to the very Far East. Over 100 systems are currently being used around the globe.
