Cooperation between China and Macao
Following the strong institutional relationship established between The Chinese Air Navigation Entities, the International Airport of Macau and the Air Navigation NAV Portugal EPE, several cooperation protocols have bonded these organizations, having the major training focus been within the specific area of Air Traffic Control with the carrying out of several Training courses at NAV Training Centre in Lisbon between 2005 and 2010.
The range of activities which were carried out, together with the quality of the provided courses have strongly contributed towards the reinforcement of that cooperation by expanding it to the technical and safety areas.
Having been invited by the Authorities of the Popular Republic of China, a delegation from NAV Portugal participated in the 3rd Conference of the Airports of China and the Portuguese speaking countries which took place in Macau, 2010 and in which NAV Portugal put forward the short and medium term challenges air navigation service providers are expected to be confronted with, as well as some good practice initiatives our enterprise has been involved in, so as to continue its strategic and assertive orientation among peers.
A cooperation protocol was signed between NAV Portugal and Macau International Airport, Co, Ltd (CAM) covering a wide range of activities, once it comprises various common cooperation dominions, including sharing information with the aim of developing both technical and operational projects, together with a letter of intentions with Central-Southern Regional ATMB CAAC., specifically concerning training in the operational safety area.
